FRIENDS OF THROAPHAM CHURCH

We are trying to set up a new Society in Laughton and Throapham to enable St. John’s Church at Throapham to continue. We need to obtain grants to help maintain and improve the building. We hope to run events during the year to get people using the building and to raise awareness of its historical importance. We need to make it accessible for people to use for school and other events. It is historically important having traces of Romano British; part Anglo Saxon-Celtic; Medieval with many rare features.

INTERESTED IN HELPING?

You can do as much or as little as you like e.g. help brush out the church for special events; help serve tea and coffee or offer to do some baking; grow plants for selling or help run fund raising; come on the committee; or just offer your support:

THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Please send your name, address and telephone number to:

Mrs. Pam Cook, 15 Doncaster Road, Langold

Telephone: 01909-732485

Or

Come to our INAUGURAL MEETING on Wednesday 12th November at 7 p.m.

at The Hatfeild Arms, Laughton.

All welcome, we want your input and ideas.
